{EVOO}

Just ran across a couple more photos from mom and Jim's visit in December.
They made me smile, and I wanted to post them. :)

I took Jim and Sandy to the Queen Creek Olive Mill. (I've posted photos from there before.)
This time, we took the tour to learn how the mill got started -- a guy from Detroit who was in
the automotive oil biz moved here and opened it. It's the only operating olive mill in AZ. They told us how they make the oil and the difference between extra virgin and everything else. (Trust me, you don't want to buy anything besides extra virgin.) It was interesting!

We couldn't leave without having a little taste of their citrus olive oil cake. Mmmm.

Theirs is the only olive oil I buy anymore, after reading this article about how corrupt the big companies in Greece are and how there have been incidents of them swapping out the oil with lower quality oil while in transit overseas. YUCK.

Buy local! :) It's fresher so less of the health benefits are lost through oxidation!
