{Week 4 - Operation Cook More}

Surprise, surprise ... I made more banana bread this week. I can't help myself.
David likes it so much -- it has made me happy to keep a steady supply available.

This time, I topped it with thin slices of fresh banana. Gives it a rustic touch, I think.

Friday night, I made a vegetable pasta similar to this.

Saturday -- my first-ever batch of homemade vegetable broth (inspired by Olivia).
I used the recipe from William-Sonoma's soup book. Hopefully it's good! It smelled
fabulous...

Now, I have to decide what kind of soup I want to make with it. That'll be next week,
I guess.

This is the last week of my month long goal to cook a little more. I have totally enjoyed
it! Cooking one or two times a week is realistic, and it's something I want to keep up.

Sam, I LOVE the banana slices on top of the bread! What a great idea! I'm going to try it next time. And that soup looks so yummy. Great shot of the aroma rising out of the pot! I bet it did smell wonderful! You'll have to share what soup you make with the stock!
It's been fun seeing all the fun food you've made for your October resolution. I hope you do keep it up if it makes you happy. There's nothing more comforting than a house that smells of good food. I bet D would agree with me too!
