{A Little Embroidery}

I've got a couple more embroidery projects in the bag. :) That's thanks in large part to
the push provided by my March goal to do some creative work.

It seems like I worked on this one a few stitches at a time over the course of forever.
I think I started it in November. Yeah ... and I just finished it in March. It's another
flour sac towel with a pattern on each side, one of an oak and the other of a maple.

I felt inspired after finishing those and quickly moved onto the next one.
One huge power day of embroidery later, I finished the pattern of a spruce
on one side. Now, I'm slowly working on the other side -- a juniper.

Both of my stitch-and-bitch partners moved to Colorado at the end of 2009. Ever since,
I haven't been nearly as committed to this hobby. So, it felt good to get back in the game;
although, it's not nearly as fun as getting together for chats, lunch and stitching. I'm
determined to keep it up though. Once I finish with juniper pattern, I have another
project in mind that I'm excited about. I think it's going to be a Christmas gift.

What are you creating right now?
Do you have a hobby you used to enjoy that you have gotten away from?

OMGosh, these are gorgeous! Love the patterns and the colors you chose...and I so wish you would come out for a stitch-n-bitch session!!! It's much more fun to stitch when you have someone to stitch with, share patterns and thread...maybe even share a glass of wine (or two! wink wink!) with!
Just think, you could get a bunch of Christmas gifts stitched in a week in Colorado...I'm just saying...
