{Dessert Idea: Nosh Plate}

I have a dessert idea that will solve multiple dinner party dilemmas for you,
and it's just in time for the weekend.

Have you been invited to dinner at someone's home and been charged with
bringing dessert, but you don't have the desire or time to bake something
and let it cool before you get out the door?

Maybe you've been in the situation where you want to make something tasty
that people will really enjoy, but you don't want to feed anyone the two cups
of sugar and stick of butter often called for in dessert recipes.

Or you'd love to bake, and you don't mind making something decadent, but you
don't want cake, souffle or pie sitting on your countertop tempting you for the
remaining six days of the week.

The answer and solution to all those problems is a nosh plate.

Isn't it pretty? This was a simple nosh plate: quality dark and milk chocolate, grapes,
brie, white cheddar cheese, and raw almonds. You can totally put your own twist on
this by adding apples or a bigger variety of cheeses, for example. I usually include
Kalamata Olives, but I spaced on it this time around.

It's fun to eat, and it satisfies the after dinner sweet tooth without giving you a
sugar high. Plus, it takes five minutes to make, if you wash and air dry the grapes
ahead of time. I made it for the Hendricks when we had them other last weekend,
and there wasn't much left on the plate when we were done with it.

If you try it out, let me know. I'd love to hear what you decided to include and
what people thought of it. What's your favorite quick, go-to dessert?

You say two cups of sugar and a stick of butter like it's a BAD thing! LOL! That's a really pretty presentation. I think it would be good for a party/buffet as well.

I bought all of this stuff for a Labor Day picnic we were going to. Instead I was selfish and kept it home to make for breakfast this morning. We did and I'm so glad I saved it for us. I missed eating brie. Something you can't when your pregnant or breast feeding.
Thanks for the super great idea!
