Love, Love Me Do

Love is in the air.
It flew in from Michigan.
But it stopped off in Vegas first...
To get married!

Jennifer and Matt got hitched in lovely Las Vegas last

Thursday. You've got to see their pictures -- they turned
out great. There are quite a few of them, but they were all
so cute and together they really tell the story better than
I could. They both look glowing and fabulous.
A happy bride and groom!

she looks amazing here. love this one.

(my favorite. also better when bigger.)

They got to see the Beatles Love Show on Friday night,
and because they know a guy who does rigging for the show,
they got a private tour afterwards. How cool is that?

They drove through the desert the next day in convertible-style
to see us. As usual, we picked up where we left off with Jen.
(Like I told her, I didn't realise how much I needed to see her
until I did.) It was also a great opportunity for us to get to know
Matt. (We know him through Jen more than we know him
personally as we've lived far away the whole time they've
been dating). We really enjoyed both of their company.
Good times.

It was nice to see them together -- they really do make a great
couple. Fabulous energy and fit!

Matt and Jen -- thanks so much for coming out
and congratulations to you both!!

On a total side note...

-- Got an A- (93%) on my 1st paper in Race in American Politics.

-- Just watched the recording on my speech from last week
(yes, he videotaped us and had us watch ourselves) and I
didn't look nearly as nervous as I felt when delivering it.
In fact, it looked and sounded pretty good! I have a few things
to work on for next time but it wasn't nearly as bad as I feared.
Whew!

-- And it's finally cooling down!! I think we might be through
the brutality that is summer in Phoenix. It was actually
quite cool this morning when we woke up -- 67 degrees!

-- All in all, I'm in a good place.
I've had great energy lately. Perhaps my conscious effort
to eat better is paying off? I'm just feeling happy, centered,
organised, positive, and good right now. My stars are like 85%
aligned -- I haven't been there in a long while. Now, for that
remaining 15%. No time like the present.

Congrats to Matt and Jen!
Beautiful pictures! Jen looks great! Matt too! Very happy.

Also, good job on the paper and the speech!! We're always harder on ourselves than we need to be. I'm sure next time will be easier for you now that you've seen yourself. :o)
