{One Hour, 18 Cards}

I wanted to replenish my card stash and was up for a quick craft project.
So, I sat down and whipped out these super simple note cards.

First batch ... Eight thank you notes.
I found the salmon colored envelopes with matching scalloped insert at TJMAXX
for $1.99 last month. (Score.) I attached the flat insert to a small white folded card,
added gray ribbon and topped it with these thank you embellishments that I typed
up with the help of the dictionary a long time ago. Bright and simple. (Click here to
see other thank you cards made with the same embellishment.)

Next set ... Ten thinking of you note cards.
Same thing. I bought the envelopes and folded cards on sale a few months ago (at
Target, I think) and paired them with things I already had. That included this sheet
of "thinking of you" messages I typed and printed years ago. (2005, maybe?) I
originally planned to use one per card but liked the effect of putting several in a row.

It feels so good to be able to create something out of supplies I have in my office.
Over the years, I've bought more than I've made. :) (I'm sure a lot of you can relate.)

I've been forcing myself to stay out of Michael's, JoAnne's and the scrapbook stores
until I use up some more of this product. And for the most part, it's worked. Of course,
I've been saying that for a year, and I still have a ton of everything. C'est la vie!

p.s. I'm on a roll, blogwise. I've posted every day this month, so far. I'm going to aim
to keep that streak alive throughout April.
