{Camping in the Suburbs}

At least it felt like we were -- for an hour in the morning, anyway.

It's a totally amazing way to start the day.
The smell of a fire. Sun and crisp air on your face.
Birds chirping and flying around overhead.
Fire, coffee, a book or newspaper, and my little family.

Norah was quick to find a good spot on the chair with her mama. She's a smart girl.

Killian wasn't nearly as swift. As the chairs filled up, he paced, looking for an acceptable alternative to the ground. (He wasn't about to be the only one at the party without a chair.)
That's when he found his mark ...

Fortunately for him, his daddy is a sucker for those big puppy dog eyes and kisses.

This was how we started the day on Good Friday, (after David went on a run). It set
the tone for a pretty chill long weekend. I tell ya, the people we bought our house from
left that chiminea here when they moved, and I am so glad they did. I love that thing!

"There is no need to go to India or anywhere else to find peace. You will find that deep
place of silence right in your room, your garden or even your bathtub." ~E. Kubler-Ross
